Our Story
A week before starting PathWay Powerhouse Press (3P), our steward, P. A. Dawkins, made a list of what she wanted to focus on, which did not include establishing a publishing house.
However, in the wee hours of 20 June 2024, God instructed her to start what would become PathWay Powerhouse Press. Starting a publishing house seemed daunting to P. A. Dawkins at the time, as she was focused solely on writing and taking the necessary steps, including securing a literary agent to help publish her books.
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9
Her first book, Pumpkin Pie in a Suitcase, was self-published some years earlier, and, given the tedious process, she knew that publishing books wasn’t part of her story; thus, she decided to stick to writing.
Publishing intimidated her until she learned to trust God implicitly.
Upon reflection, it made sense. Well, it has to make sense. God made sense. P. A. had too many books and stories to publish to not own a publishing company.
So, here we are, going all in by God’s grace and mercies.
